Artist's Comments
Quite some time ago I came across a style of fantasy art based upon drawing figures within a circle like frame. This picture is my attempt at trying to carry that art form over into the rendering world.
Technically, this proved more difficult than I originally thought it would. This picture has not had any post work other than to reduce the image size. The circular frame is a custom model I created. The "background" is actually a wall set to a white color with the ambient lighting also set to maximum white. This creates the white backdrop while allowing objects to be rendered behind the circular opening. This all aside, I'm pretty happy with the way this one turned out. |
